The Mars Planet Experience
Tadrart Rouge is a land of light, relief and contrast. Often compared to the planet Mars, it reveals a landscape shaped over millennia by wind, sand and erosion. The immense red dunes stretch between sandstone massifs with astonishing shapes — a hedgehog, a World Cup trophy, and other figures sculpted by nature that have become emblematic landmarks of the Tadrart.
Along the route, the landscapes keep transforming. Natural arches, cliffs, canyons and rock formations create a spectacular setting, where every stage reveals a new perspective. In the morning, the light highlights the relief; as evening approaches, the dunes take on deeper shades, before the desert settles into calm beneath a starlit sky.
